Three for Thursday

Our Healthy Kids Committee at my kids' school ramped up an existing walking program to a running club.  The kids have enjoyed it immensely with over a third of the school participating.  My kids want to take it a step further and make up a running club with their friends - catch is they want to run at dawn so they could watch the sun come up.  Love they think this way, but I think their sleep is more important at their age - maybe when they get a bit older.

Speaking of sleep - it's National Sleep Awareness Week.


National Sleep Awareness Week™, which takes place March 5-11, 2012, is an annual public education and awareness campaign to promote the importance of sleep. The week begins with the announcement of the National Sleep Foundation's Sleep in America poll results and ends with the clock change to Daylight Saving Time, where Americans lose one hour of sleep.   3. My gosh, I haven't had a good nights sleep in 22 years. LOL. Once my kids were born, sleep went out the window.
