Osprey Pack Review

I was so excited to receive an Osprey Sirrus 36 pack to try.  This ventilated day pack is the perfect size for a day hike or overnight travel.

The Sirrus 36 carries all you need for a long day out and even a light overnighter. Designed for a full day of adventure, this top loader features a large front zippered pocket, front panel access to the main compartment, a fixed top pocket with two zippered organization pockets and zippered fabric pockets on the hipbelt (perfect for small snack, iphone, keys, etc).

All Sirrus packs feature spacer mesh harnesses and hipbelts which provide a comfortable fit. The AirSpeed™ suspension incorporates a 3D mesh backpanel and LightWire™ frame which truly helps keep you cooler by letting the air circulate.  It also has an internal hydration compartment for a bladder and exit holes and stretch webbing for the tubes (bladder can be bought separately) and a nifty integrated rain cover in case the weather turns.

This is a great women's backpack - and not just because it looks cute:)  The pack has a shortened torso, wider chest straps and hipbelt which allows for the pack to sit securely on the hips.  It also comes in different sizes to provide an even better fit.  We also adjusted it for my daughter, Gaigai (age 9) - she also loved it and wanted to claim it as her own:)

It has been perfect for holding snacks and supplies for day hikes and 2 days worth of clothing for weekend getaways in Michigan.  Next weekend we're heading to Wisconsin for the North Face Endurance Challenge - and this pack is definitely a contender as my luggage.   Super comfortable and stylish - if you're looking for a women's pack, look no further!

  1. I've always heard good things about Osprey performance, so it's nice to know it's true. And you're right, it is a good-looking pack.

  3. I LOVE my Osprey pack, but I think it's probably just a hair too big for me (too long, which is weird because I'm pretty tall. Maybe I need to look again at adjusting the straps). That said, you can't overestimate how nice the additional air circulation around your back is. My pack is super comfortable even when I've been wearing it for 24 hours.
