Keystone - Where Little A Became a Skier

This past spring break the youngest of the Palubinskas Clan, Little A became a skier - all thanks to a great Keystone ski instructor, Josh Kaman!  On our first day in Breckenridge, we put Little A in ski school but unfortunately received a call from the school that he did not calm down from the minute we left him. At 3 1/2 years old and the fourth of 4, we have not pushed him to go to preschool or spend much time away, so I skied my last run down and spent the rest of the day with him.  A couple days later, we headed over to Keystone where Little A accompanied me to "mama's ski school" which was actually a parent child lesson focused on Little A.  At first Little A would not let Josh do anything for him, then about 45 minutes in, Little A listed all his neighborhood friends and added Coach Josh to his list.

I loved how much enthusiasm and energy Josh had in teaching Little A.  At the end of "our" lesson, Little A was comfortable putting on his skis and taking them off, scooting over to the magic carpet, going up the magic carpet and skiing down.  Little A even turned on his way down the bunny hill aiming to knock over some stacked foam blocks and made some attempts at stopping - although he preferred to run into the blue fence instead. :)  Best thing was to hear Little A say that he is a skier and he loves skiing!  Little A skied more at Breck but not in ski school - he said he only wanted to ski with Coach Josh -- maybe next year. :)
