Tuesday Training - The North Face Endurance Challenge Marathon Training

Here's how week 9 shaped up in preparation for the ZOOMA Chicago half marathon in August and the North Face Endurance Challenge Marathon in September:

pure Michigan
Monday:  planned 6, actual 6; this was my first run of the season at the cottage in Michigan.  I ran the first 4 solo, then the last 2 with Munchkin.  

Thursday:  scheduled track speed work, actually did the track speed work just a little less than scheduled - again ran with Munchkin. 

Saturday:  planned 14, actual 0; first completely missed run - bummed, didn't get it in on Sunday either. :(

We took Tazer and Gaigai to summer camp on Sunday.  I love that they enjoy camp and have a blast, but it's difficult not to talk or see them for 10 days.  It's been fun, though to spend more quality 2 on 2 time with the little guys (and running with just Munchkin).

  1. Bummer about not getting the long run in, but you've been consistent until that, so probably not a huge concern.

  2. Wow summer camp! So many of our kids' friends are gone, some up to 6 weeks. I'm sure it's fun but I'd miss them....at least for awhile....
